2011 Fantasy Football Sleepers: 5 RB’s

In the second of seven positional lists of fantasy football sleepers, we bring you five running backs who should be selected as bargains in your draft that will pay good dividends for you in 2011. A lot of these names are going to be ones you know (especially at QB and RB).
So remember, these guys are sleepers to us because they will come at a good draft value and very likely outplay their 2011 draft value throughout the season.
Also, as we look at their Mock Draft Central Average Draft Position (ADP) and make general statements about their statistical projections, we assume full health for all players (even players with a history of high injury risk).
Of course, if you want to see our full rankings Top 50 rankings for the running back position, click it.
AFTER the jump, you’re going to find our top 5 fantasy football RB sleepers for 2011…
5 Fantasy Football Sleepers For 2011 At Running Back
- Tim Hightower, RB, Washington Redskins. There’s a reason the Redskins made a move for this guy even though they had Ryan Torain and drafted Roy Helu. Hightower proved he can produce on the field as a feature back in Arizona while filling in for Beanie Wells, and he should finally get that chance to officially be the man Washington. He can catch passes out of the backfield and, while only getting around 150 carries per season in Arizona, shoulder be able to load another 100 carries on that total as a workhorse back. Torain is the top back off the board in Washington in the mid-50′s. Should Hightower officially get named Washington’s starter, take him with your round 4 or 5 selection instead.
- Jahvid Best, RB, Detroit Lions. Almost every Lion except Megatron could be undervalued coming into the 2011 fantasy season, but its all riding on health. Best is no different, but the opportunity is there for him to emerge thanks to the season-ending injury to rookie Mikel Leshoure. Best has never taken more than 17 rushing carries in a game and never had more than 26 total touches. His workload should grow this season with no other option and he bring more BIG PLAY potential to a high powered Lions offense in 2010. His current ADP is 60, but a case could be made for him going as a top 20 rusher off the board, which means you may be able to take him with confidence in the 40′s.
- Marshawn Lynch, RB, Seattle Seahawks. Lynch scored 6 TDs in only 12 games and 180 touches for the Seahawks last season. You have to believe his offensive role will grow this season now that he’s had a full year with the system along with uncertainty at the QB position. If he can continue to average a TD every 30 touches and increase his workload by only 5 touches per game, his TD production jumps to 11 and his yardage total increases to over 1200. His ADP is 67, but you have to like Marshawn the same, if not more, than rookies in timeshares like Daniel Thomas and Mark Ingram, or even BenJarvis Green-Ellis… all of whom we (and a lot of ranking websites) currently have ranked higher.
- Beanie Wells, RB, Arizona Cardinals. There’s no question that 2011 is going to be a make or break season for Beanie. He hasn’t been able to consistently stay on the field in his NFL career, but with rookie Ryan Williams out for the season and Tim Hightower traded to take over as the carrier in Washington… Beanie has to be the man this year. Because of his potential workload, if you can draft a workhorse running back at position 78 in your draft, you have to like that value. To start the year, Beanie is probably no better than a flex starter or a RB2, but there is potential there for him to emerge as a useful back and a great draft pick in 2011.
- Reggie Bush, RB, Miami Dolphins. Click the link for a full analysis of Reggie Bush in fantasy football. A pass catching running back, with return capabilities, and an uncrowded backfield on a team that is likely to be playing from behind A LOT in 2011? Sure, Reggie Bush will have to overcome his own health and the hype surrounding rookie ball carrier Daniel Thomas, but the possibilities for a successful season are there. His ADP is 110, while Daniel Thomas is being drafted 37 spots ahead of him. I’m not sold on Thomas getting the majority of the workload in Miami, especially if they are playing from behind. Bush can certainly be a useful flex option or RB2 as the season goes on if things go the way we expect them to go for the Fins in 2011.

I concur, saving money on the web or in true existence is one of the most crucial things proper now. With the way the financial system, job circumstance, gas charges and housing market place are everyone is attempting to preserve a greenback here and there. I consider that how to preserve cash and how to be a much better shopper ought to be a course taught in large school. So that kids can have an even chance and comprehend what comes about to cash when they have to pay their own payments.

Too many people pay little attention to this stuff, and I believe that their money making success takes a hit as a result. There is a major tendency to rely on the easy way that many them end up sabotaging themselves. An occasional dose of reality helps us all to keep a sharp focus in a pitiless market.

If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.

One of the most profound quotes and some of the truest words ever spoken :
“All that we are is the result of what we have thought. If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him. If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him, like a shadow that never leaves him.” Buddha

Here in Oregon we vote by mail, which is wonderful. You can vote any time you want a few weeks before election day, and either mail your ballot in, or drop it off at multiple locations (I always drop mine off at my library, which is close to where I live). Not only does it increase voter turnout, it gives you more time to fill out your ballot, so you can vote intelligently. Plus it gets rid of last minute election craziness by the time election day rolls around, most people have already voted, so no last minute surprises. I think all states should switch to vote by mail, in which case the day can stay Tuesday.
